The FREE Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA):
You must complete this form. The federal government uses it to then TELL the colleges to which you are applying, how much your family can be expected to pay [EFC= Expected Family Contribution] toward your education. Hopefully the colleges will then offer you a financial aid package that will allow you to attend those schools
Captain FAFSA is a super hero who is here to break down all the obstacles that can get in the way when you are applying for financial aid. Click on the Captain to get a pdf of all his tips for filling out the FAFSA form!
FAFSA Tip! Money for financial aid is given out on a first-come, first serve basis. The earlier you fill out the form, the better. Your colleges may say you have until March, but by then all the money will be gone.
