College For Me

Seniors and Early College Transcripts

As part of your college application packet, you will want to have an official college transcript sent to colleges where you are applying. Although your course and grade will be listed on your high school transcript, it will be much more impressive if you also have sent an official transcript.

Here is how to do it:

  1. Select the appropriate transcript request form from the pdf list under Early College. You need a separate transcript release form for each college you have attended and you may need multiple copies: one for each college to which you apply.EXAMPLE:
John took 2 college classes last year as a junior-one at USM and one at CMCC. He will need one USM transcript release form and one CMCC transcript release form (they are different).

He is applying to 8 colleges. He will need 8 forms from USM and 8 forms from CMCC and needs to address each one separately. Now what about senior year?

If he is taking another class as a senior, at yet a different college, he will need the transcript form for that college times the number of colleges to which he is applying.

  2. On the transcript release form
    • If you are currently enrolled in a college class, check the box “to hold” for current grade
    • In the box provided, write in the name and address of the college admissions office to which the transcript will be sent.
    • There is no fee for this.

THIS WILL HELP YOU A GREAT DEAL AS YOU COMPETE WITH OTHER APPLICANTS FOR YOUR COLLEGES!
