Early College Program

The College for Me-Androscoggin Early College Classes Program allows high school juniors and seniors to enroll in one tuition-free college course per semester. The program runs during the fall and spring semesters and is open to any high school junior or senior living in Androscoggin County and passing all their high school core courses: math, science, English, and social studies. Students who enroll in the program:

  • Combine their high school studies with the experience of taking actual college courses
  • Demonstrate to college admissions officers the rigor of their academic course load.
  • Earn both high school credit and college credit
  • Gain confidence in their ability to achieve at the college level.

The Early College Study Program is intended to supplement not supplant the academic program of the high school. Almost all college classes take place after school, in the evening or on the weekend.

Students and their families are responsible for their

  • Transportation
  • Books
  • Most students earn 3 college credits for each course PLUS a half or full high school credit
